No dar papaya

No dar papaya = "Don't give papaya" = Don't tempt trouble.

Bogotá is an incredible city and we're sure you'll love your time here! These tips come from our own experience and are meant to help you feel relaxed and enjoy your visit.

The best advice is to keep things low-key. Dress casually, skip flashy jewelry, and keep an eye on your belongings. It's also a good idea to keep your phone tucked away when you're walking around.

For getting around, book a ride with Uber or ask your hotel/restaurant to call a trusted taxi. That way, you won't need to worry about hailing cabs on the street. See the "Where to Stay" section for neighborhoods we recommend that are safe and walkable.

If you're ever in doubt, don't hesitate to text or call us!
